Kri is the dj who never ceases to amaze with his ability to tap into the moment and play exactly what is fuckin' right. Right, that is, if you like your Trance tracks like a tidal wave, like a werewolf's howl, like a sandblaster busting open your third eye.

As he comes across quiet and somewhat reserved in person, one would not, at first, realize that Kri is on a mission, a serious quest to bring Psychedelic Trance music to the people, and to bring the people to a state of enlightenment in the process. Caught up in the party scene of the 90's and gaining a reputation for his skills in mixing breakbeat and scratching, Kri left it all behind to pursue full-time the haunting promise Goa trance laid out for him. Now, he has single handedly created a devoght after in places all over the country, and I'll venture a reason why.

To listen to Kri play is to remember our legacy as spiritual beings with tumultuous desires, with an innate need to and fulfilling existence on a planet that survives.
Heavy? Yeah, but so is the Psychedelic Goa Trance experience, and heavier still is a night filled with Kri's driving tracks, his momentum slowly building like a panther's body tensing each muscle till its time to strike its prey, and then, you're a goner.

Kri has played along side: Hallucinogen, MFG, Infected Mushroom, Total Eclipse, X-Dream, Kox Box, Saiko Pod, Talamasca, Delta, Xerox, Huxflux, Magnatrixx, Mark Allen, Chris Bo, Space Cat, Cosmosis, Eskimo, Indiadrop, Synchro, Oryx, Void, Scorb, Stella Nutela, Psysex, Joti Sidhu, D-tek, Quadra, Bluetech, Solar Fields, Kaya Project, Shakta, and many more.

Kri began his musical journey in Winston Salem, NC writing industrial music in 1990. He made a cross over into the sounds of techno music and began learning the art of DJing. In just a few short years, Kri established a name for himself in the rave community, playing with many major acts.

By 1993 Kri founded Did You Ever Think? a production company and opened up Evolution, a tattoo and body piercing studio in Winston Salem. He met a young DJ turntablist named Faust, who went on to become ranked number five in the world, and started another production company named Space Kadets Collective. As the years go by Kri continues to play all over the Southeast. Kri mixed a diverse range of styles of techno but was best known for his breakbeat and scratching skills.

While performing in Atlanta (1994), he was browsing in a record store and came across a section marked "GOA." He heard some samples, bought several records and immediately felt a deep, profound connection to this music. That night being booked to play a breakbeat set, Kri played this ominous beautiful trance music and as a result did not get booked for six months after his performance at the URB/Smile tour.

Kri became so bewitched by Psychedelic Goa Trance and frustrated by the lack of understanding from the techno community he again formed a new production company, this time solely devoted to the sounds of Goa Trance. This was the dawn of Utta Chaos. This also marked the time of departure to the progressive, freak mountain community of Asheville, NC. Asheville welcomed him with loving arms, and he felt he had finally found the support and understanding of the music that it deserved. Utta Chaos became infamous for their wild, free parties and their delivery of a true psychedelic experience.

Kri began to make more contacts and has earned the recognition in the international trance family, playing with such greats as Hallucinogen, MFG, Infected Mushroom, Total Eclipse and X-Dream. He has gained admiration and respect.

Kri has an intense passion for playing goa trance and has gained a loyal following across the world. Living in the beautifully surreal mountains of Asheville he wants to use trance as a means towards working towards a higher consciousness. The parties are dedicated to the primitive nature of the music and a return to the origin of our roots.

After being immersed in trance since 1994, comes T.O.U.C.H. Samadhi, reflecting the spiritual evolution through the sonic vibrations of Psychedelic Goa Trance. Kri has a deep gratitude and love for all the Asheville family who has supported him and shared his vision.
